March 10, 2005 - After two months of server issues,
the entire site should be back up again, including the forum.
Obviously, we have not released the initial game yet, as we had
hoped to do in Q3 2004. We are still working out the bugs in this
game, and are looking forward to the release. It is our goal to
release Lore: Uprising in early 2006, and we feel that we
should finally be able to hit this target. It has taken us a long
time to write this game, but we have always approached it from the
standpoint of wanting to do it right the first time. We believe
that the system and story we have brewing will be worth the wait
to anyone who is interested. The core system will be used through
our first several initial releases, with a wide genre interchangability
available. Keep checking back because we are going to begin releasing
some initial race design sketches, the initial character sheet,
and other snippets and goodies within the next month. Hang in there,
and THANK YOU for being patient - Bryan Donihue.
April 28, 2004 - Progress, although steady, has
pushed the initial release date back to early fall, 2004. It is
our hope and intention to release Lore: Uprising in August
at either Wizard World, Chicago, or Gencon, Indy. We anticipate
releasing early design sketches of the races within the next couple
weeks. Keep checking back to see what all the fuss is about.
December 11, 2003 - We are proud to announce two
new wallpaper images in our download
section. These are the first 2 in a series of images specifically
designed for Lore: Uprising. We hope you enjoy the images.
Keep checking back as we will soon be releasing the first of our
player character race profiles - starting with an old favorite with
a new twist, and a brand new race.
September 5, 2003 - Lore Gaming Company is proud
to announce sponsorship of SpinCon '03. SpinCon is a brand new mini
gaming tournament and convention being held in Grand Rapids, MI.
Designed as an outreach of Spin Ministries, the youth ministry of
Frontline Community Church, SpinCon is a one day event featuring
tournaments of several miniatures and collectible card games. If
you are in the Grand Rapids, MI area, and are 18 or UNDER, go to
the SpinCon
'03 website and get all the details.
July 29, 2003 - We Want YOU! If you live in the
Hampton, VA, area and would like to join the next round of game
testing, let
us know! Our official Game Testers get all kinds of perks simply
to play our game! For more information, please check out the RPG
Forum.
July 9, 2003 - Thanks to our great web host, Eclipse
Hosting, the web issues we had earlier today are now gone. Explore
our RPG
Forum, and contact other members of the RPG community. Some
of them are currently beta testing our initial release - Lore:
Uprising. Enjoy.
July 9, 2003 - We are having a slight problem with
the forum currently. Bear with us while we geat it back online within
the next 24 hours. Again, we appologize about the inconvenience.
July 8, 2003 - We have updated the Lore: Origins
and Lore: Hunters pages! We now have short fiction for each game.
These stories will be rotating every 3-4 weeks, and Troye and Bryan
will be alternating as authors to display some of their writing
skills, so that you know what to look forward to from the upcoming
games. Check back frequently to read the new stories.
July 3rd, 2003 - We would like to thank all of
our visitors, members and fans for being so patient with us. We've
just been through a rather lengthy redesign for the website, as
well as keeping extremely busy as we playtest our forthcoming initial
release - Lore: Uprising. Here are some of the changes you'll
find on our site:
We now have sites dedicated to each of our three initial releases:
Lore: Uprising,
Lore: Origins, and Lore:
Hunters.
We have updated and changed our Lore
RPG Forum. New looks are just the beginning as roleplaying
frenzy hits the forum. Attack, heal and defend fellow posters
to gain experience points and advance through the ranks to become
"LoreMaster".
Other, smaller changes were made to enhance the site cosmetically
and for ease of use.
Message from Troye and Bryan:
As far as an initial release date
for Lore: Uprising,
we have to apologize and say that it will probably not be release
until Q2 2005. Why do we keep pushing back the release date? Because
we want to make it the best game we can.
Unlike some other companies, we at
Lore Gaming Company have decided that we will wait to release our
games until they are ready for you. This means that we are striving
to make the best games possible, without a huge list of holes and
bugs. This philosophy allows us to release a game, then move on.
Instead of fixing and patching, we will be able to spend more time
creating.
Again, we apologize for the delays.
Thanks for your patience.
Troye and Bryan
