So, here it is.  Another Friday and time for another exciting installment of Lore gametesting.  Bryan has pplaced us in a typical predicament and we will continue to surprise him and make him make stuff up on the spot.  I love doing that.Innocent

Never underestimate the power of a Mental Health day.  I was feeling very stressed about all aspects of life and so I took a vacation day (Mental Health Day) on Friday.  I slept in, watched TV, and went to see a movie (Sorcerer's Apprentice).  After resting all day, I let the busy weekend begin.  I still feel refreshed.

If you have the time, I heartily reccommend taking a day.

It amazes me how in tune our system is with the real world.  I just read the book StrengthFinder 2.0 by Tom Rath.  After reading the book, I took the online assessment.  In the book, the author describes that the world around us is obsessed with our weaknesses and how to improve upon them.  He thinks we should focus on our talents and develop them into strengths.  This is exactly how the Lore system works.

Each character is allotted primary skills that are easier to build upon during advancement and other skills which are harder to advance.  These primary skills are the talents that each of us have (and our characters).  The more we train or advance our primary skills, the stronger we are in that particular skill.  If we don't have a talent for something, we can still work hard to improve a skill, but it takes more work to head down that path.

I recommend buying the book and taking the assessment to find your talents.
